Mitten im Amtsenthebungsverfahren gegen Donald Trump gerät der US-Präsident durch ein verdeckt aufgenommenes Video weiter unter Druck. In dem am Samstag von US-Medien veröffentlichten Video von einem Abendessen mit Spendern im April 2018 ist Trump zu hören, wie er nachdrücklich die Entlassung seiner damaligen Botschafterin in Kiew, Marie Yovanovitch, fordert: "Werdet sie los", ist Trumps Stimme zu hören. "Schafft sie morgen raus." Ein Jahr später wurde Yovanovitch von ihrem Posten abberufen.

An dem Spenden-Dinner in einem Hotel nahmen auch der ukrainischstämmige Geschäftsmann Lev Parnas und sein Partner Igor Fruman teil, wie die Aufnahmen zeigen. Die beiden, die seit Oktober der Verstöße gegen die Gesetze zur Wahlkampffinanzierung beschuldigt werden, spielen in der Ukraine-Affäre eine Schlüsselrolle.

Trump met Kim on the southern side of the border village of Panmunjom in the Demilitarized Zone separating the two Koreas.

Gulf crisis: Close up to stricken oil tanker with the US Navy - BBC News

The US military says one of the oil tankers attacked in the Gulf of Oman last week was damaged by a mine resembling those used by the Iranian security forces.

The attack was the second such incident in the strategic shipping lane in a month.

Tehran has denied any involvement.

The BBC was one of a small number of media outlets taken out by the US Navy off the coast of the United Arab Emirates to see the stricken ship.
