Donald Trump calls the Brett Kavanaugh appointment 'a tremendous victory' for the nation

DONALD Trump celebrated Brett Kavanaugh's controversial election to the Supreme Court declaring it an "historic night" for America.

He also hit out at his rivals in the Democratic Party for what he called a "shameless campaign of political and personal destruction" against his Kavanaugh was confirmed to the US Supreme Court despite the high-profile sexual assault allegations levelled against him.

Donald Trump: 'It's a Scary Time for Young Men in America'

President Donald Trump, himself the object of multiple accusations of sexual misconduct, spoke out Tuesday about the use of unproven, and often completely uncorroborated, accusations against political figures.

“It is a very scary time for young men in America, when you can be guilty of something you may not be guilty of,” Trump told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House grounds, according to The Hill.
