President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted a National Day of Prayer dinner at the White House Wednesday evening.
Dinner was held in anticipation of National Day of Prayer which falls on Thursday.
100 interfaith religious leaders and Trump administration officials attended.
First lady Melania Trump made it to the White House to surprise kids calling the NORAD Santa tracker phone line along with President Trump who spent most of the day complaining on Twitter. Melania had been in Florida for the Trump family vacation to Mar-a-Lago that had been planned for the holiday. Due to the partial government shutdown, President Trump decided to remain in Washington D.C. despite Congress having adjourned until Dec. 27.
