Round 16 of the 2018 FIA Formula 1 World Championship takes us by the Black Sea near Sochi for the Russian Grand Prix. With six races left of the championship, F1 heads to the Sochi Winter Olympic Park where the Sochi Autodrom is based in preparatiin for the race in Russia. Taking place later than in previous years, the Russian Grand Prix has often been a track dominated by Mercedes, having won every race since its introduction to the sport in 2014. Lewis Hamilton won the first two races in 2014 and 2015, but his team mates Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas have won the last two races in 2016 and 2017. Bottas' win last year was his first in F1 and will hope to repeat it again as he hopes to get his first win of the season. The last race in Singapore saw Lewis Hamilton extend his championship lead over to Sebastian Vettel, leaving the gap to 40 points heading into the final 6 races. The weather is expected to be dry and cloudy throughout the weekend. Pirelli will be bringing the Hypersoft, Ultrasoft and Soft tyres for the weekend, repeating their compounds from the last race in Singapore.
