First Daughter Ivanka Trump met with Paraguayan President Mario Abdo Benitez and First Lady Silvana Abdo in Asuncion on Friday, on her official visit to the South American country.
Trump was welcomed by the President at Lopez Presidential Palace, as part of her tour of South America aimed at promoting female empowerment on the continent.
Trump, travelling as special adviser to the US President alongside Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan, also announced that the US will double its financial commitment to the Women's Prosperity and World Development Initiative by 500 million dollars.
The additional amount will be funding women entrepreneurs and the private sector in the country.
