The request was made after the Raiders again fined Brown and informed him they were voiding the guarantees left on his contract, which could cost Brown $30 million. Shortly afterward, the Oakland Raiders granted Antonio Brown his release.

Here's the entire Antonio Brown news timeline: There was, of course, the frostbite on his feet and the helmet drama. It seemed that was in the rearview mirror, until the Raiders and GM Mike Mayock informed Brown he'd been fined for missing parts of training camp. Then it was revealed the Raiders were planning to suspend star wide receiver Antonio Brown after he and general manager Mike Mayock got into an altercation Wednesday. Brown has posted the fine letter on social media yesterday, which led to the altercation.
Then, the Brown issues a tearful apology along with team captains and it appeared that Brown was not only not going to be suspended, but that he would play in Week 1. Then Brown posted a video of his phone call with Jon Gruden.
But today, things have taken a turn for the worse. Brown was informed by the Raiders they were fining him again and thus voiding the guarantees in his deal.
