The Election Commission has assigned Pineapple as the electoral symbol of UDF candidate Jose Tom Pulikkunnel in the upcoming Pala By-poll. Though, he is nominated as a Kerala Congress M worker, due to the feud between Jose K Mani and PJ Joseph, he was not eligible to contest the election with the traditional electoral symbol of Two Leaves of his party. Jose Tom will also be considered as an independent candidate.
