After meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20 Osaka Summit in Osaka, Japan, U.S. President Donald Trump briefed the press on their agreement to resume trade talks. Trump called Beijing a strategic partner and praised President Xi, expressing confidence that a final deal could be struck with China.
