Barack Obama spent the last two years trying to drive Donald Trump from office.
His Deep State worked to frame Trump for colluding with the Russians and Obama campaigned for Americans to elect a Congress that would impeach him.
But Donald Trump had enough and destroyed Obama’s life with this one tweet.
Trump and the Democrats are locked in a battle over funding for a border wall.
Democrats shut down the government rather than provide any votes to fund the much-needed wall along the Southern border.
With the government shut down, both sides dug in and Trump launched a new communications strategy to turn up public pressure on the Democrats to fund the wall.
And Trump used Barack Obama to do it.
Trump dug up a 2011 tweet from Obama’s State of the Union address where he demanded an end to illegal immigration.
“I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration. #SOTU,” Obama wrote.
Trump responded, “I totally agree!”

President Trump also pointed out that Democrats like Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Chuck Schumer all voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006 which mandated the government construct 700 miles of border fencing.
Trump correctly noted that Democrats only oppose a border wall today for the sole reason that Trump supports it.
“Virtually every Democrat we are dealing with today strongly supported a Border Wall or Fence. It was only when I made it an important part of my campaign, because people and drugs were pouring into our Country unchecked, that they turned against it. Desperately needed!” Trump tweeted.
The President continued hammering this point home.
“This isn’t about the Wall, everybody knows that a Wall will work perfectly (In Israel the Wall works 99.9%). This is only about the Dems not letting Donald Trump & the Republicans have a win. They may have the 10 Senate votes, but we have the issue, Border Security. 2020!” President Trump added.
Democrats are set to take over the House of Representatives on January 3.
Many fake news reporters believe this gives them the upper hand in the shutdown fight since Pelosi pledged never to fund the wall.
But the Senate is still in Republican hands.
And Trump vowed to reject any bill that does not include wall funding.
“I am in the Oval Office & just gave out a 115 mile long contract for another large section of the Wall in Texas. We are already building and renovating many miles of Wall, some complete. Democrats must end Shutdown and finish funding. Billions of Dollars, & lives, will be saved!” Trump tweeted.
But Democrats are under intense pressure from their base to stand firm.
Their voters view any border security as white supremacy.
Trump’s best chance to win wall funding is to turn the swing voters in formerly Republican-leaning districts against the newly elected Democrat Congress through a public pressure campaign.
And using Obama’s words against the Democrats is a centerpiece in that effort.
